Dionaea will get a new config format in the upcoming release. Most of the required changes have been merged into the master branch.
From now on there will be two different types of config files. The first one is the core config. This is a Key-Value file like an ini file on Windows. You can find it under $PREFIX/etc/dionaea/dionaea.cfg
.
The second one is the service and ihandler config. By default the Python module uses one config to setup exactly one service or incident handler. This allows us to enable or disable a config by creating a symlink in the $PREFIX/etc/dionaea/services-enabled
or $PREFIX/etc/dionaea/ihandlers-enabled
directories.
You can find additional information on how to use the new config files in the dionaea documentation.
